Pretty standard Premier, you always know what ur getting. Beds comfortable. Spacious room.
Premier inn is premier inn!! All the ameneties present along with seperate restaurant which was great! Room was bit chilled at first but heating managed to make it better in an hour. It's at A1/A14 junction, meaning near to traffic, but you won't know it unless you look out of the window! Did not hear any traffic noise in the night.
Great place by two main roads but unable to hear noise in rooms. Think they may have had a refurbishment in the past but think it could do with another lick of paint and cleaner tiles. Can tell the difference between this one and Darlington which clearly had better care in it's paint jobs etc.
It's obvz not a 4 hotel... but rooms are clean and warm. Comfy bed and decent tv. Quiet, despite being on A1/A14 junction. (Midweek stay)
Firstly, the postcode is wrong and it sends you somewhere else. On arrival, the guy at the front desk did not care that we were there. He never did the usual and ask if we wanted breakfast, dinner etc. He didn't even ask for ID.Arriving at the room, the door was a little stiff. Inside the room, the bathroom door was faulty and a nightmare to close.Our whole family had an awful night's sleep. The place is positioned next to a truck stop and around 1am there was truck horns going, refrigeration unit going, arctic revving engine for, at least, ten minutes.My husband woke with a migraine. I was up and up and down all night, so were our children.There were not enough pillows in the room either. There are so many things this place could do to improve, hire better staff, fix rooms, put up a fence, etc.The only reason it has a two star is because of the mattress. But the smaller pull out bed needs the mattress replacing as my daughter could feel the springs .We have one more night in this place. Ugh.Worse premier inn we have stayed at so far, and we use them a lot.
