It's big but crowded. Carvery is very mediocre but can't complain for price. Queue s at the bar. Service is friendly. It's not a quiet place as it gets busy with groups and families. Would be better if areas had more secluded sections for quiter conversations instead of having to talk loudly just to be heard.
We were a party of 27 and the restaurant accommodates us perfectly Sue, the waitress was fantastic and the food all came out on time and with no issues. When it came to paying the bill. It was a very straight forward affair. Kids loved it too. Will definetly return.
Lovely pub with a full pub grub menu, carvery, great selection of drinks and also a wacky warehouse for the children. Located on a marina its a lovely place to go in the summer to relax whilst watching boats, but during winter its nice and cosy inside, comfortable and inviting. Only slight downside is the bar always has a 5 minute queue.
Very nice carvery served every day (not just Sunday) something the local area has needed for a long time. Judging by how busy it was on a Monday afternoon, it seems the local pensioners agree with me :)Three meats on the go (beef, gammon and turkey when I went). My only gripe, admittedly a big one, is that the roast potatoes seem to be finished in a deep fryer for crispiness. Roast potatoes are central to a delicious meal so corners should not be cut.No reservations on a Sunday so prepare to wait.
Much better quality of food than it's ever had. I've visited over 15 years & never enjoyed what I ate. My daughter got food poisoning from here. However, since the fire, the rebuild & new management I would recommend it
